The Japanese international has become a key player for Real Sociedad and is thriving in La Liga.
Manchester United believe that Kubo is capable of replacing Brazilian winger Antony who flopped since his €95 million move from Ajax in 2022.
The Sociedad star is valued at around €50m, as per Transfermarkt.
His deal expires in the summer of 2027.
