Manchester City are keeping tabs on Paris Saint-Germain's midfielder Xavi Simons, who is spending the season on loan at RB Leipzig.

Bild's Christian Falk says the Premier League champions are planning to sign the Dutch youngster next summer.

City consider the 21-year-old an ideal replacement for Kevin De Bruyne, 33, who is coming off contract.

The Belgium international is being linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League next year.

Simons is enjoying his time at Leipzig, and has already scored a goal and provided an assist in four games this season.
