Liverpool consider Mohamed Salah as being untouchable, according to Fabrizio Romano

The Egyptian star has become Al-Ittihad's main target in recent weeks and the Saudi Pro League champions are determined to sign him in the coming days.

Reports claimed the Saudi club is willing to pay more than £200 million to seal the deal.

However, Romano said on DeBrief podcast as quoted by Tribal Football: “Liverpool are very, very relaxed about that situation.

“I think Saudi will come back because this is something normal for them. Come back in terms of approaching Liverpool, approaching the player's camp but I think it's not going to be something concrete or something advanced in any case because Liverpool, honestly, have always been clear.

"Whenever we had all these rumours […] Liverpool have always sent the same message: The player is untouchable. Mo Salah is going nowhere."

The 31-year-old still has two more years in his deal at Liverpool.
