Oman coach Paul Le Guen was fined US$1,000 by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on Monday for his failure to attend a post-match interview after Oman's concluding game in the Asian Cup against Kuwait on Saturday.
Le Guen had earlier escaped punishment over a critical comment regarding an appeal for a penalty in the 0-1 defeat to South Korea in the Red Warriors' Group A opener.
Oman, which failed to advance to the knockout round, lost to South Korea (0-1) and Australia (0-4), but recorded a 1-0 win over Kuwait to salvage some pride.
Besides Le Guen, Oman defender Abdulsalam Amour was also slapped with a fine of US$2,000 during the match against Australia.
