Iranian international defender Morteza Pouraliganji has officially joined Qatari side Al Sadd on a four-month deal on Wednesday.
Pouraliganji will play alongside former Barcelona playmaker Xavi who joined Al Sadd with a three-year contract last summer.
The 23-year old joined Chinese Super League club Tianjin Teda in February 2015 from Naft Tehran on a one-year contract and scored two goals in 27 appearances for the club.
“Al Sadd is one of the top teams in Qatar Stars League and former Barcelona midfielder Xavi is playing here. When I was a child I was a Xavi’s fan and now his presence in Al Sadd is one the main reasons I accept this offer,” Pouraliganji told. Al Sadd is currently in fourth place of Qatar Stars League table with 28 points from 15 games.
