Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohammad Fneish, on Wednesday inaugurated a conference on the future of sports media in the Arab world, in light of the digital media revolution, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration of the Arab League.
The event, which took place at Monroe Hotel, was attended by Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian, Director General of the Information Ministry Hassan Falha, and a panel of sports and media figures, including President of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Gianni Merlo.
In his intervention, Minister Fneish maintained that sports constituted a means of communication in the Arab world, calling to rebuild the severed ties.
He also highlighted rejection of normalizing relations with the Israeli enemy through sports.
Accordingly, he saluted the Lebanese and Arab athletes who refused to take part in games involving Israeli contestants.
