Ahly have received an offer to play a friendly match with German side Borussia Dortmund in January, the Cairo giants announced on Tuesday.
"The football sector received an offer from a marketing company to play a friendly match with Borussia Dortmund in January," a statement on Ahly's official website reads.
"The technical staff will make the final decision according to the team's commitments in the coming period," the statement added.
Ahly's main rivals and Egyptian league champions, Zamalek, recently agreed to play a friendly with the Bundesliga club, Dortmund, on 9 January in the United Arab Emirates.
Dortmund, who are currently second in the Bundesliga behind champions Bayern Munich, announced in November that they will be holding their winter training camp in Dubai next month.
Ahly are ninth on the league table with 9 points after five games. They have won three games and lost two.
