Egyptian national team coach Hector Cuper has called up six foreign-based players, including Roma winger Mohamed Salah and Arsenal's midfielder Mohamed Elneny, for the Pharaohs' crucial game against Tanzania in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The winners of three successive Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2006, 2008 and 2010, Egypt will be hosted by the Tanzanian team on 4 June in the last round of the qualifiers for the 2017 tournament.
Argentinean coach Cuper, 59, has called up winger Mohamed Abdel-Shafi, who plays for Saudi side Ahly Jeddah, who recently recovered from a knee injury that sidelined him for the Pharaoh's last crucial two matches against Nigeria.
The Egyptian side's full squad, including players from domestic teams, will be announced later.
The seven-time African champions - who are within reach of a place at next year's Cup of Nations for the first time since 2010 - are at the top of Group G of the qualifiers with seven points, five ahead of second-place Nigeria.
