Egyptian Ali Faraj on Saturday was crowned as champion of the Qatar Classic Squash Championship 2020 after beating New Zealandآ’s Paul Coll 3-1.
Faraj, ranked first in the world, managed to beat the worldآ’s fourth Coll 11-8,6-11,11-9,11-9 in the final organized by Qatar Tennis and Squash Federation at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
Speaking after the win in a press statement, Faraj expressed his delight for snatching the title, saying that the final was آ‘very difficultآ’ as Coll has آ‘big capabilitiesآ’.
This is the second title won by the Egyptian player in a row; the first was in 2018 when he outrivaled German Simon Rosner 11-9,11-7,11-5.
