Former Real Madrid and Chelsea star Eden Hazard has declared that he was a better footballer than Al-Nassr's Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Belgian icon believes that Lionel Messi was the only player superior to him in terms of his generation.

Hazard spoke to L'Equipe and said, as quoted by Tribal Football: "Individually, Messi is perhaps the only one. he's the greatest in history. It's impossible to take the ball away from him.

"Cristiano is a bigger player than me but, in terms of pure football, I honestly don't think so. Neymar, maybe.

"After that, he's no better than me, but at Real, you've got the best, also in terms of their careers: (Karim) Benzema, (Luka) Modric, they were the best, (Toni) Kroos, Kev (De Bruyne), they all exude football."

The 33-year-old announced his retirement last October after an illustrious career.
