World's 117th Tunisian tennis player Malek Jaziri has qualified for the quarter-final of the Dubai Tennis Championships after defeating world's 43rd Dutch Roben Haase 7-6, 7-6 at a second round game played on Wednesday's afternoon.
Jaziri had reached the second round after knocking out Tuesday top seed Grigor Dimitrov (world's 4th) 4-6, 7-5, 6-4.
He will face at the quarter-final world's 82nd Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas who eliminated German Philipp Kohlschreiber (world's 33rd) 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
