France national team coach Didier Deschamps revealed that Kylian Mbappe will need surgery eventually.

The 25-year-old is set to wear a mask after breaking his nose in France's opening match in the Euros against Austria.

However, Deschamps believes the soon-to-be Real Madrid player will have to undergo surgery eventually.

"Tomorrow there will be more tests to assess his evolution. The medical staff did everything to reduce the injury. Even if surgery is not immediate, he will need it," said the France boss, as quoted by Tribal Football.

“Today, he is better, and we will follow his recovery day by day.”

France are set to face the Netherlands on Friday.
