Chelsea fought for a tough 1-0 victory against Swansea City on Boxing Day as the Blues managed to maintain their place in the top three.

However, they have a chance to take an important three points from visitors Liverpool if they can manage to keep their home streak alive against the in-form Reds at home.

Liverpool will feel hard done by not to have shared the spoils at Manchester City as the visitors showed their ability against the Citizens in the toughest game anyone has brought to the Etihad all season.

Brendan Rodgers knows that his side have the quality to defeat Chelsea and as long as they can minimize their mistakes at the back, that nearly cost them dearly against City, then the Reds have a strong chance of taking down the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea XI: Cech; Ivanoic, Luiz, Terry, Azpilicueta; Mikel, Lampard; Schurrle, Oscar, Hazard; Torres.

Liverpool XI: Mignolet; Johnson, Skrtel, Sakho, Cissokho; Henderson, Lucas, Allen; Sterling, Suarez, Coutinho.
