Besiktas chairman Fikret Orman has stepped down from his role, he announced.
According to Daily Sabah, Orman had been targeted by disgruntled fans several times in recent weeks, including following this past weekend's Medipol Basaksehir.
Orman originally took charge in 2012 and helped guide the club to back-to-back titles in 2016 and 2017.
