Barcelona are hoping to extend Joao Cancelo's loan deal for another season, as per Sport.

The Manchester City left back is no longer part of Pep Guardiola plans at the Etihad Stadium, and will be put for sale at the end of the season.

However, Barca are only willing to discuss a new loan, rather than an outright transfer for the former Bayern Munich, Juventus and Inter Milan star.

The 29-year-old who has a deal with City to 2027 joined the Catalan giants in September on-loan without a permanent option.

He went on to feature in 38 games across all competitions, scoring four goals.

Cancelo is currently valued at around €30 million, according to Transfermarkt.
