Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ittihad are willing to break the world transfer record to sign Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, as per The Athletic.

The 31-year-old was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia last summer, but all attempts failed in the end.

However, the Egypt international is expected to leave the Reds once the current season reaches its end.

It is claimed that Al-Ittihad are ready to offer €234 million to bring in the player.

This figure would surpass the €222m world record that Paris Saint-Germain paid to sign Neymar from Barcelona in 2017.

Salah's deal is set to expire in the summer of 2025.
