Five-time world champion Lewis Hamilton came up with a dominant showing to clinch pole position for the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 25.
The Mercedes ace lapped the 5.554km Yas Marina Circuit with a time of 1:34.794 seconds to emerge as the fastest driver in qualifying on Saturday.
The 33-year-old, who won the race here in 2011, 2014 and 2016, logged his 11th pole of the season and the 83rd of his career. It was also the Briton's fourth pole position in Abu Dhabi.
If Hamilton wins on Sunday, it will be his 11th victory of the season after wins in Azerbaijan, Spain, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Singapore, Russia, Japan and Brazil.
Mercedes locked out the front row with Hamilton's teammate second in qualifying followed by Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel in third.
