To propagate the critical messages of utility conservation to the youngest members of the Dubai community, representatives from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) accompanied by their colourful mascots Splashy and Sparky entertained crowds during a special environment-awareness visit to Modhesh World of the Dubai Summer Surprises spectacle on Friday 15th July.

For two hours from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Splashy and Sparky captivated the audience with enjoyable, live stage shows and interactive questions and answers highlighting the proper use of electricity and water and how people of all ages can help safeguard the environment by adopting simple energy-saving measures in their daily lives.

Under the watchful eye of Splashy and Sparky, DEWA representatives distributed soft toys and utility conservation techniques to visitors while providing guidance and advice such as taking a shower instead of a bath, always using the washing machine with a full load and remembering to turn-off standby buttons.

Splashy and Sparky have become brand ambassadors for DEWA’s conservation campaign and regularly engage children in fun, environmentally-conscious activities to raise awareness, educate and promote the rational usage of electricity and water in the emirate.
