Dubai expats can now truly appreciate the UAE culture and the native language by taking a unique Arabic conversational course that focuses on the Emirati dialect. The Emirati conversation course focuses on the local slang and the sensitivities and is offered at Eton Institute in Dubai Knowledge Village.

The widespread and influential language of Arabic is made up of countless regional dialects, hence learners realise the importance of language immersion.  Taught by a native-speaking Emirati instructor, the 16 hour course gives learners a deeper understanding of the Emirati way of life, including a cultural experience at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding. Whether you wish to strengthen professional relationships, or to make new friends, the course equips you with the local slang and etiquette required for any situation in the UAE.

Moaz Khan, Marketing Manager at Eton Institute commented: “You can now pass-off as a local while ordering hummus or strike up a conversation with an Emirati friend by learning the Emirati dialect. From the local slang to cultural do's and don’ts, this course will get you speaking and appreciating the language and culture of the UAE in no time.”

A Free demo Emirati Conversational class will be held on Saturday, 28 May at Better U – 2011, a free community event organised by Eton Institute every year with the tagline ‘A great day to learn something new!’ Attendees can participate in over a 100 free activities on the day from dance classes to language lessons, self-defence and life-coaching. Open to the general public of all age groups, visitors may also win prizes and show support for their favourite charitable organisations that will be present on the day to raise awareness.
