Spain Turns Red at Annual 'Tomatina' Fest in Bunol

More than 20,000 people have gathered Bunol to take part in the epic food fight at the annual La Tomatina festival on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019.

'La Tomatina' event was first held in 1945 when a tomato-tossing brawl reportedly broke out during a parade, and it usually takes place on the last Wednesday of August every year.

The event saw 145 tons of tomatoes offloaded from six trucks into crowds packing Bunol's streets for the midday hour-long battle.
