Thousands of Egyptian protesters have gathered across several cities calling President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to resign. During the rallies the demonstrators chanted slogans such as "the people demand the fall of the regime" and "Sisi leave".
On the second day of demonstrations, Egyptian security forces clashed with the protesters in the port city of Suez, firing tear gas and live rounds. The police have also arrested a number of protesters.
On the other hand, the protests were pushed by Mohamed Ali, who is an army-linked contractor after he released dozens of videos levelling serious accusations of corruption and embezzlement against Sisi and senior Egyptian officials.
