Saudis are hardly trying to keep their old tradition reserved and practiced by the younger generations as Taif residents are still performing the 'ancient war' dance which is also known as ‘Taashir’ dance.
Men of the tribe usually full the barrels of their weapons using gunpowder before the show begins; as they wait in line to show their skills in using the guns.
The ancient war dance in Taif, a city located west of Saudi Arabia, works as men use gun flame lightened under their feet while dancing in the center.
Salman al-Tuweirgi, owner of a coffee shop there, said: "Taashir dance is the popular heritage of the people of Taif. It is considered an essential event at all occasions," according to AFP.
