France's unions agreed to start a strike to force President Emmanuel Macron to abandon pension reforms which caused great unrest in the country forcing nearly a million people on the streets.
Dozens of trains, metros and flights were cancelled, and four of the country's eight oil refineries remained blocked, raising the prospect of fuel shortages.
On the other hand, France's Prime Minister Édouard Philippe commented that he may uncover full details of the pension reform plans on Wednesday, insisting that the change would be gradual and "not brutal".
