Ethiopians Celebrate a Monthly Car Free Day

Ethiopians mark a monthly event called 'Car Free Day'. The event is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle as well as to combat air pollution and it takes place in Addis Ababa and many other cities across Ethiopia.

This day was instituted by the government of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. It also allowes skateboarders to show off their skills.
