Senegal organized its 18th edition of the Dakar Fashion Week on its main catwalk in baobab forest. The 2020 event was held in the forest to maintain social distancing amid the coronavirus spike in the African country.
According to Adama Ndiaye, the organizer of the Dakar Fashion Week, "With Covid, we had to be creative, I had to find solutions and above all we had to avoid (cancelling) the show, and here I think there is enough space so that no one feels cramped".
Moreover, Dakar Fashion Week models were mainly focusing on displaying the latest West African fashions, beauty.
