Brazil Battles Wildfires in The Amazon Rainforest

A massive fire has broken out at Brazil's Amazon rainforest which is considered the worst in a decade climbing 17% from the same period a year ago. At least 10,136 blazes spotted in the first 10 days of August.

Despite the data produced by the Brazilian government, President Jair Bolsonaro on Tuesday has angrily denied the existence of fires in the Amazon rainforest, calling it a "lie".

On the other hand, several experts revealed that the massive fires are not a natural phenomenon, but are usually man-made to clear deforested land for pasture.

Moreover, the former army captain said: "They won't find any spot of fire, nor a quarter of a hectare deforested."
