Seef Properties donate mini-bus to Al Rashad Center

In the latest of its initiatives to support the local community, Seef Properties has donated a 15-seater mini bus to Al Rashad Centre in Saar. The move follows an earlier donation in November of a portacabin to the centre - which helps children with autism and is under the umbrella of the Bahrain Society for Mental Retardation – in conjunction with the Bahrain Roadrunners.
Mr. Robert Addison, General Manager of Seef Properties, presented the bus to Ms. Marwa Saleh, Manager of Al Rashad Center, this afternoon at the centre's premises in Saar. Mr. Addison commented: "When we donated the portacabin earlier this year we were impressed by the work Ms Marwa and everyone at Al Rashad Centre is doing to improve the lives of children in Bahrain living with this condition. We have a long term plan to help Bahrain's community with particular emphasis on family, and apportion an amount of our annual earnings to this as a publicly held company. We hope the bus will facilitate the lives of the children attending the centre, and enable them to travel safely on educational and fun excursions."
Set up in 2000, Al Rashad Centre provides a range of services for children with autism to enable them to live with dignity and independence. Its main activities are education and rehabilitation services for Arabic speaking children aged four to 12 years.
Recent Seef Properties charitable events and community support include November's Moonwalk for Hope, and the upcoming Bahrain Road Runners' Seef Mall Half Marathon on Friday 14th January 2011. In the spirit of family entertainment, the mall has also recently set up a kid's activity and play area which is free of charge to all shoppers and their families.
