SAE Institute, the premier learning institute for audiovisual technologies and multimedia, clinched the silver and a bronze award at the recent Dubai Lynx Awards, the largest celebration for creative excellence in advertising and communications in the Middle East.

The SAE TV Commercial, Talent for Cutting, received the silver award for the Best Use of Music in the Film Craft Category. The TVC begins with a character waking up in the middle of the night and begins cutting obsessively using a butcher’s knife, finally revealing that he’s been cutting a 35mm film stock all along. The TVC was made to promote the film discipline by SAE institute.

SAE Institute also won the bronze award for Best Use of Music in the Film Craft Category for Talent for Seeing, another television commercial which promotes the animation courses provided at SAE.

Stephan Randjelovic, Head of the Film Department at SAE Institute in Dubai, who directed the two winning commercials, said: “We are honoured to win the two awards at the very first year of our participation in the Dubai Lynx Awards. They underscore our commitment to quality of production, and will further highlight the role that we play in bringing excellence to the audio-visual and creative sector of the region. We worked very closely with TBWA/RAAD to develop the idea, the copy, script and the music and thank them for their outstanding support.”

The three SAE television commercials - Talent for Cutting, Talent for Seeing and Talent for Listening – were short listed in the Cinematography and the Audio Visual Category at Dubai Lynx.
