Royal Jordanian signs partnership agreement With GlobalCollect

Royal Jordanian (RJ), whose modern fleet covers a network of 58 destinations across four continents and a member of the oneworld airline alliance, entered into a service agreement with GlobalCollect to process its online credit card payments, accommodating over 25 currencies throughout the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. Furthermore, the agreement will allow RJ passengers to buy tickets via the RJ call center by providing RJ agents with their credit card information.
A future expansion of the partnership will include adding alternative payment methods such as real-time banking, cash, and bank transfers to tap into additional customer segments preferring non-card payments.
Next to multi-currency card solutions, GlobalCollect provides a range of value-added services: strategic advice on payments by dedicated airline consultants, online & call center customer support, and advanced fraud screening. Using the Hosted Merchant Link solution also allows RJ to design its online check out section in line with its branding while letting GlobalCollect take care of meeting compliance rules - such as Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) - regarding processing and storing sensitive data.
Hussein Dabbas, President/CEO of RJ, commented: “RJ is glad to partner with a leading Payment Service Provider with broad and global experience in servicing different industries, particularly Travel and Ticketing. RJ has always been a pioneer in making travel procedures easier for its passengers, the latest innovation being that they can pay for their tickets easily and securely online from the comfort of their homes.”
Koen Vanpraet, CCO of GlobalCollect, added: “We are delighted to welcome RJ to our ever growing list of air carrier clients. We also look forward to helping RJ grow its e-commerce activities by taking advantage of our unrivalled portfolio of alternative payment methods in the near future – an upward scalability we offer to all merchants. ”
