An Egyptian security official on Tuesday said an employee of a local construction company opened fire on his colleagues, killing six and injuring 16 others. According to the AP, the official said the gunman, a bus driver, pulled over the company bus in western Cairo, whipped out an assault rifle and sprayed his passengers with bullets.
According to the official, the gunman appeared to have suffered severe depression after his company, Arab Contractors, transferred him to a new position. The killer was identified as 54 year old Mahmoud Taha Ahmed Sweilem. The driver denied during his investigation firing at his colleagues, saying that unknown gunmen came out and committed the crime.
