Qtel extends SmartRoamer Service to all customers

Qtel today announced that the incredible SmartRoamer service – which provides some of the best roaming rates in the region – is now available for all Qtel customers.

When it was launched, the SmartRoamer service was originally made available for Shahry customers, who were able to enjoy incredibly competitive roaming rates when they travelled.

In response to the positive support SmartRoamer received, Qtel has now made the service available for all Qtel customers, ensuring that they have peace of mind whenever they travel.

Hala and Control customers can now make local calls for just QR1 per minute in every country in the GCC, and can call back to Qatar for just QR2 per minute. The same great rate applies for customers calling any other GCC country from within the GCC.

The cost for receiving calls is also low, with received calls costing QR1.5 per minute. Customers can even send SMS for just QR1 per message.

In the region, the service is available in Bahrain on the Batelco, VIVA and Zain networks, while in Kuwait it can be accessed on Wataniya, Zain and VIVA.

Qtel customers in Oman can enjoy the SmartRoamer service on Nawras and Omantel; travellers in Saudi Arabia can access it on Mobily, STC, and Zain; and in the UAE, SmartRoamer is accessible on du and Etisalat.

With a wide range of network partners, and automatic access from the moment a Qtel customer steps off the airplane, without the need to activate or subscribe, SmartRoamer offers great value and complete convenience.

The SmartRoamer service has been designed to keep the cost of calling for travellers down, through a standardized approach to roaming and incredible convenience.
