Palin to Obama: Stop 'pussy-footing around' over release of Osama death photos

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has rubbished President Barack Obama's decision not to release Osama Bin Laden's death photos.

"Show the photos as a warning to others seeking America's destruction," Palin posted on Twitter.

"No pussy-footing around, no politicking, no drama; it's part of the mission," wrote the potential Republican presidential candidate.

Palin also compared Obama's decision not to release Osama's death pictures to holding back his birth certificate.

"Don't do kind of that birth certificate whole mocking of Americans for asking for it," The New York Daily News quoted Palin, as saying.

Her comments came shortly after Obama revealed his final decision of blocking the release of pictures of Osama bin Laden's body, expressing concern that they might incite extremists to retaliate.

Palin added that Obama was providing fodder to conspiracy theorists, "especially in some Arab nations." "We are anxious for the photos, the proof, to be revealed so that we can show those terrorists and say, we contained Bin Laden, we contained that hatred and that evil, and we have the pictures to prove it," she said.

Bin Laden's phone numbers to help US get biggest intelligence windfall?

The US secret raid on Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden's home in Pakistan's Abbottabad city has reportedly produced what could be the biggest intelligence windfall since the September 11, 2001 attacks.

According to CBS News, after the US Navy SEALS scrambled away with Laden's body, they found 500 Euros in cash and two phone numbers sewn inside his clothing apparently intended to aid an escape.

Now, intelligence analysts are digging into those numbers, tracing previous calls to and from those phones, mapping out a network of terrorist communications.

Experts believe the phone numbers could reveal who bin Laden was talking to, who he was directing, as well as other phone numbers linked to Al-Qaeda operatives.

The SEALs also recovered at least five computers, a dozen hard drives, storage devices such as DVDs and thumb drives and over one hundred computer disks.

They also grabbed handwritten notes, weapons, and an assortment of personal items that could reveal key clues about other high-ranking Al-Qaeda leaders and potential plots. Meanwhile, a task force led by the CIA is digging through copies of the electronic files, looking for names, numbers, and possible locations of terror operatives. "As we glean information from that material we will make appropriate decisions with regard to who might be added to the terrorist watch list, the no-fly list, all those things," Attorney General Eric Holder said.
