First-of-its-Kind Memoir of Omar ibn Said Narrates an American Muslim Slave Story

A very rare and unique memoir of a noted African-American collector has been acquired by the Library of Congress last week and posted online. According to Mary-Jane Deeb, the Chief of the Congress library’s African and Middle Eastern Division, the library bought the collection in summer 2017 from Sotheby’s in London.
