According to claims and social media allegations, US President Joe Biden and all other officials or presidents who met President Zelensky either quit office or left their positions.
Following the 2024 US elections and the defeat of the Democratic candidate, a photo of Kamala Harris and Zelensky shaking hands emerged online with the same caption: "The Zelesnky curse".
A big photo showing small pictures of Zelensky shaking hands with more than one official with a red X on them was shared on X (formerly Twitter) to hint that after they met Zelensky they left their jobs.
Social media users mocked the Ukrainian president and named it "The Zelensky Curse" as a way to mock the leader with the latest being Joe Biden, who recently announced the withdrawal from the 2024 presidential elections in November.
Not only US President, Zelensky was pictured with former British Prime Ministers; Rishi Sunak and Boris Johnson, as well as Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
A person on X wrote after sharing the picture: "There is a syndrome known as Zelensky curse that is sweeping through the Western world, many leaders he has met with and shook hands with have subsequently lost elections or been unseated, including two British Prime Ministers."
