ALBAWABA - Social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter) and its CEO billionaire Elon Musk accused of following META's policy in restricting and targeting pro-Palestinian content.

Jackson Hinkle, a pro-Palestinian activist, posted on his X account after being shocked to lose thousands of followers within seconds and asked Musk for help.

Hinkle has over 1.4 million followers on X and he has been actively posting about Israeli attacks and assaults on the Gaza Strip killing over 4,651 Palestinians and injuring 14,245 others, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza.

Hinkle said: "Hi @elonmusk, X appears to have a glitch where within a few seconds I lose 2,000+ followers out of nowhere. I’m sure this has NOTHING to do with me EXPOSING ZIONIST LIES — please advise!"

A person, called Zagonel, commented on the post and said: "Could be bot tampering for sure. Sending bot followers your way limits your reach - Twitter tries to scrub them as best as they can."

Meanwhile, Jackson Hinkle was not the only one surprised by X, journalist Ben Norton posted a video saying that X is banning people from following a pro-Palestine account, called Palestine Action US.

In a post, Norton explained: "This is crazy: Twitter / X is preventing people from following the account @Pal_ActionUS, which advocates for Palestinian human rights and opposes Israeli apartheid and colonialism."

He added: "Every time you follow the account, as soon as you refresh the page, the app unfollows it."

X is being accused to "secretly attempting" to curb pro-Palestinian content by Palestinian activists, who claimed that X is following META, which is owned by Mark Zuckerberg, in restricting content about Palestine.
