ALBAWABA - Following the latest Brad Bit scam, fake Princess Leonor of Spain accounts have been addressing people in Latin America and requesting donations.

Many people were scammed with the fake Princess Leonor account including a mother of two from Guatemala, Juana Cobo.

Cobo, 39,  received a call allegedly claiming to be a member of the Spanish royal family asked for money. She was deceived and sent the fraudulent caller payments totaling $800, “some of which I had to borrow,” according to the Spanish newspaper El Pais on December 3.

She also said: "They wrote me a message on TikTok saying that I was talking to Princess Leonor and I won $100,000, but I had to pay a tax of about $250 and I paid it."

Not only the $250, but the mother of two also said that fake Princess Leonor requested another $150 in “quetzals” to cover “legal fees,” which she also paid. Then they claimed that there was a problem with the payment and she had to pay another amount, and they kept asking for more until poor Cobo realized that she had fallen into an online trap.

Another Spanish guy called Carlos Aguilar saw the fake account for the future Spanish Queen, Leonor, but he realized it was fake before sending any money. He said when he was requested to pay a $400 "processing fee" to a bank account in the Dominican Republic, he became suspicious and backed out.
