ALBAWABA - Since the start of the Israeli attacks on Iran, more noise has been made that the latest conflict could lead to a regime change in Iran and the replacement of the current leader of Iran, headed by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Israel attacked Iran on June 13; since that day, more hawks in the US Congress have supported Israeli officials, and some Iranian activists abroad who called for a regime change in the Islamic Republic.
Will Reza Pahlavi retake power in Iran after overthrowing Islamic Regime?
However, rumors emerged online that Reza Pahlavi, former Crown Prince of Iran, could retake power if the Islamic regime falls in Iran.
Nonetheless, the allegations increased on social media following a video statement released by Reza Pahlavi on his official Facebook account.
He said, "The Islamic Republic has reached its end and is falling. Khamenei is hiding underground like a scary mouse and has lost control of things. What has been started is irreversible. The future is bright and we will pass this twist of history together."
The former Iranian crown prince added: "The end of the Islamic Republic is the end of its 46-year war with Iran. The regime’s repression system is collapsing. It only takes one public uprising to end this nightmare forever."
