ALBAWABA - Following the news of the passing of Former United States Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, writings belonging to the late American chef and author Anthony Bourdain calling Kissinger a "prevaricating, murderous scumbag".
In his book "A Cook’s Tour: In Search of the Perfect Meal," published after his death in 2018, Bourdain spoke about his adventures and culinary explorations around the world.
During his stop in Cambodia, Bourdain wrote: "You will never again be able to open a newspaper and read about that treacherous, prevaricating, murderous scumbag sitting down for a nice chat with Charlie Rose or attending some black-tie affair for a new glossy magazine without choking. Witness what Henry did in Cambodia – the fruits of his genius for statesmanship – and you will never understand why he’s not sitting in the dock at The Hague next to Milošević".
In 1969, Kissigner ordered the carpet bombing of both Cambodia and Laos, resulting in the killing of more than 500,000 Cambodian civilians, as the United States used approximately 540,000 bombs over the course of almost 4 years.
Another video was published of one of Bourdain's documentaries, where he was saying: "Henry Kissinger walks into a bar…would it displease you if I walked over and punched Henry Kissinger in the face? Would you find that entertaining?" Bourdain asks the others in the clip.
"Any journalist who has ever been polite to Henry Kissinger, you know, fuck that person," Bourdain also said. "I’m a big believer in moral gray areas, but, when it comes to that guy, in my view he should not be able to eat at a restaurant in New York".
Bourdain took his own life in Paris in 2018, he was 61 at the time.
Earlier on November 30, Henry Kissinger died at the age of 100. Kissinger died at his home in Connecticut, according to a statement from his geopolitical consulting firm, Kissinger Associates Inc. Kissinger served under 2 U.S. presidents, Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.
