ALBAWABA - On March 2, videos emerged online showing smoke rising from a refinery operated by Saudi Aramco after a fire broke out in the oil facility.

Saudi officials said Monday that a fire broke out in the Aramco facility, and it was caused by debris from an intercepted Iranian missile. Saudi Arabia's Ras Tanura oil refinery came under attack by drones on Monday morning, causing a fire at the complex, authorities confirmed, blaming Iran for the attack.

However, Iran denied carrying out any attacks against Aramco's Ras Tanura facility, near Dammam, which has a capacity of over half a million barrels of crude oil a day.

Who really attacked Aramco in Saudi Arabia?

Despite Saudi Arabia's blaming Iran for attacking the oil refinery, Iran released a clarification accusing Israel of targeting Aramco in Saudi Arabia.

The attack on Aramco oil facilities on Monday morning was carried out by the Israelis and is an example of a "False Flag" operation, an informed source told Tasnim.

The informed military source clarified that the attack was an Israeli false flag operation, adding that Tel Aviv plans to distract people from "its crimes in attacking civilian sites" in Iran.

"Iran has announced frankly that it will target all American and Israeli interests, installation, and facilities in the region, and has attacked many of them so far, but Aramco facilities have not been among the targets of Iranian attacks so far," the source mentioned.

He further added, "According to data provided to us by intelligence sources, the port of Fujairah in the UAE is also one of the next targets of the Israelis in the false flag operation, and this regime intends to attack it."
