A 4-day truce was agreed between Israel and the Hamas military group with the mediation from Qatar and Egypt. Russia and the United States in return have welcomed the temporary ceasefire which according to media sources might be extended.

Israa Jaabis is accused by Israel of attempted murder after blowing her car up at a checkpoint, a charge she denies. Her burns, Jaabis said, are the result of an explosion in the car following a technical fault, Al-Jazeera reported.
Not only Israa Jaabis, according to the journalist Omari child prisoner Nafuth Hammad, 16, who was recently sentenced by the Israeli court to 12 years in prison, could be among those released in the prisoner deal.
