ALBAWABA - Former US President and current elect Donald Trump stirred controversy across social media platforms after users allegedly linked him yet again to Project 2025.
Project 2025 is a collection of conservative and right-wing policy proposals from the Heritage Foundation with the main goal of nominating individuals from the republican party which is the political party of Donald Trump.
Trump's followers took to the former president's defense and denied all links to Project 2025. On the other hand, several Democrat users doubled down on the controversy and warned people not to vote for him.
What's the link between Donald Trump and Project 2025? Stirs controversy
Donald Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, and wrote a long paragraph denying all links to Project 2025, he said:
"I know nothing about Project 2025. I have not seen it, have no idea who is in charge of it, and, unlike our very well-received Republican Platform, had nothing to do with it. The Radical Left Democrats are having a field day, however, trying to hook me into whatever policies are stated or said. It is pure disinformation on their part. By now, after all of these years, everyone knows where I stand on EVERYTHING! DJT."
This comes after Trump's long time of repeatedly denying accusations of him being linked to Project 2025. In his comment on Truth Social, he took shots at the Democrats and called them "Radical left Democrats" who are having the time of their life amid the rumors in question.

Some users wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) which is a platform Trump was banned from:
"Actions speak louder than words. Trump unequivocally endorses Project 2025. Do not be deceived by a convicted felon who has lied over 30,000 times."
"Trump is once again trying to distance himself from Project 2025. Don’t let him. Project 2025 is staffed by more than 200 former officials of Trump’s administration."
Others took to Trump's defense:
"Why is Joe lying to the American people? President Trump has nothing to do with Project 2025, and Joe knows that."
"I am not calling Project 2025 'garbage.' I am referring to how the media is trying to use Project 2025 against Trump, that is what I am calling garbage."
