What gift did Putin give to Kim Jong-un?

ALBAWABA - The close relationship between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been under the spotlight, as the Kremlin revealed lately the gift that Putin gave to the North Korean president.

Nonetheless, reports further unveiled that the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Park Chung-chun, and the sister of North Korean leader Kim Yo-jong received the gift from Russia on Feb. 18.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that Vladimir Putin gifted a car to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

He added that the car was an Aurus car, a Russian luxury automobile company founded in 2018, taking into consideration that Putin himself uses this type of vehicle.

Kim Yo Jong expressed her gratitude to Putin, expressing that the gift "serves as clear evidence of the special friendly relations between the leaders of the two countries, and it is a wonderful gift," RT reported on Monday.

Furthermore, Kim is well-known for his taste in luxury cars as earlier he was spotted using Lexus SUVs and Mercedes-Benz S-Class models.
