ALBAWABA - A cyber attack that was carried out by a joint operation between Israel’s intelligence service, Mossad, and the Israeli military targeted pager devices causing their explosion in Lebanon and Syria.

Till this moment, nine people were killed, including a little girl, and about 2,800 wounded in an attack that targeted hundreds of pagers, commonly used by the Hezbollah group.

The New York Times reported that Israel secretly planted explosives inside a batch of pager devices ordered from Gold Apollo company by Hezbollah. However, Gold Apollo founder and chairman Hsu Ching-kuang confirmed to the media on Wednesday that his firm had signed a contract with a European distributor to use the Gold Apollo brand and that his company is not related to the attack on Sept. 17.

On Wednesday, the Iranian-backed group promised to respond to the Israeli attack that targeted pager devices leading to thousands of injuries across Lebanon.

Was Hassan Nasrallah injured in the pagers attack?

Following the Israeli pager attack, many people took to social media to claim that Secretary-General of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah was injured in the attack.

Many netizens questioned Nasrallah's silence over the latest Israeli pager attack that targeted many Hezbollah members. They questioned why he didn't appear in a press conference "to respond to Israel if he wasn't injured."

A person allegedly wrote: "If Nasrallah wasn't injured, why hasn't he made any statement whatsoever?"

Another X user claimed: "Hassan Nasrallah has been critically injured in #Beirut – #Hezbollah affiliated media."

No official media confirmed or denied the rumor claiming that Hassan Nasrallah was injured in the Israeli pager attack on Tuesday. However, the Hezbollah group announced that its leader Nasrallah is scheduled to give a televised speech tomorrow, Thursday, at 5:00 p.m., about the latest developments.
