ALBAWABA - Dozens of Israeli leaflets were dropped on people living in South Lebanon calling them to leave their homes amid tension between the Israeli army and Hezbollah following the war in Gaza.
The papers are similar to those being dropped in Gaza to guide Palestinians to leave for a safe zone. The leaflets dropped in South Lebanon read the following: "To all residents and displaced people, Hezbollah is firing rockets from your region. You have to leave your places heading north of Khiam region by 4 p.m. (local time) and never come back until end of the war."

It continues: "Whoever refuses to leave the area will be considered a 'terrorist'. The Israeli army will try its best to ensure your area is empty from residents."
Israel responds to papers dropped in South Lebanon:
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority announced on Sunday that the leaflets dropped in Lebanon were not ordered by the Israeli army but it was carried out solely by the Israeli 769th Brigade Commander.
The army also announced that no orders were taken to request people to evacuate homes in South Lebanon and the Israeli army is investigating the dropping of leaflets.
