ALBAWABA - Egypt recently witnessed an interesting phenomenon, when Al-Sharqia Governorate locals noticed a strange set of lights traveling across the country's clouds at night. Clips of the incident swarmed the internet, further sparking debate and speculation from local social media users.
While some speculated that the lights belonged to a potential Unidentified flying object (best known as UFO), several others offered social media users the scientific fact behind the incident in question and linked the rare occurrence to an atmospheric magnetic field witnessing a sudden change.

According to Al Arabiya, Ethiopia witnessed a similar incident a while back where locals reported spotting fireballs in the country's skies. Ethiopian officials are still investigating the incident about whether it was caused by space materials or satellite remains.
A social media user on Facebook wrote, "People are saying that the lights belong to Aliens, has been seen anything?"
It's important to note that Egypt has witnessed a technological advancement in astronomy. According to Egypt's National Institute for Astronomical Research recently detected four new celestial objects using its latest telescope in the Middle East.
Among the things discovered by the telescope located in El Katameya was "Asteroid MK 2024" which was recently spotted traveling near the Earth on Jun. 29, 2024.
