ALBAWABA - A woman has sparked debate on social media after a video of her doing a raw Kofta dish inside the Prophet's Mosque in Saudi Arabia went viral online.
A clip that went viral on the X platform showed a woman sitting on the ground in the yard of the Prophet's Mosque, kneading raw Kofta, a popular meatball dish in Turkey.
The video was taken by another woman who was heard speaking in the background and confirmed that it was taken before the dawn prayer inside the Prophet's Mosque in Saudi Arabia.
A wide range of comments questioned the purpose of the video as many said this is an inappropriate thing to do. A person commented: "You should have completed it with a shawarma dish."
Another one questioned: "Where are the officials?" as he was concerned such behavior should be banned and that the woman should get punishment for what she did, adding that these sites are considered holy and customized for prayers and not for making food.
A netizen said this is an 'unbecoming behavior' and the 'cleanliness' of the mosque is the responsibility of everyone who visits for prayers.
The Prophet's Mosque is known as the second mosque built by the Islamic prophet Muhammad in Medina after the Quba Mosque.
