Egyptian local media revealed that firefighters and rescue workers rushed to the scene and contained the fire after hours.
An investigation was launched to determine the cause of the fire in the Ismailia police station, however, some experts suggested that the fire rapidly spread in the building due to strong winds considering that the building is located in an open space where no buildings are around.
