ALBAWABA - A video widely spread on social media showing a man hitting a child in a swimming pool, which was said to be in Lebanon, angering followers and leading to a wave of public discussion.
The circulated footage showed a man brutally beating a child while they were standing on the stairs of one of the water games in the swimming pool, while it appears that no one intervened to stop the attack.
However, the reason behind the attack was not known or if the man was a relative of the child, but the kid's crying face has broken the hearts of many on social media.
The scene angered many who called for the authorities to intervene to investigate the incident.
Activists on X and other social media platforms expressed their shock and condemnation of this act, describing it as “inhuman.”
Furthermore, Lebanese singer and actress Cyrine Abdelnour also reposted the clip and decried the attack against the boy.
She wrote: "Do you know what is more oppressive than violence in this scene? No one moved to help the boy!!! The video burned my heart. How can a big person be able to control a small child?!!"
She added: "A person without conscience and without a heart. What do you hope for? They will put you in prison and force you to have a psychological expert who will treat you from your illness."
