ALBAWABA - A horrific incident took place in Bangladesh after a Hindu man, called Dipu Chandra Das, was brutally killed after being accused of alleged blasphemy, Indian media reported on Sunday.

NDTV reported that Dipu Chandra Das, 25, was beaten to death in Mymensingh's Bhaluka outside a garment factory where he worked for allegedly making "insulting" remarks about Islam.

After being killed, the body of the Hindu man was hung from a tree and set on fire, with people were documenting and recording the incident, while carrying slogans.

Warning/ Disturbing video:

X activist Geert Wilders posted a photo and wrote, "The brutal murder of a Hindu man called Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh by a Muslim crowd - for so-called blasphemy allegations - proves the unacceptable grave danger of Hindus in Bangladesh (and Pakistan), and the barbarity of Islam."

A Company Commander of Rapid Action Battalion, Bangladesh's counterterrorism force, has told The Daily Star newspaper that the Hindu man was killed, with no proven evidence that he committed blasphemy or that he made any statement to disrespect Islam or any religion.

Some reports said that the police arrested 12 suspects by December 22, as interim leader Muhammad Yunus condemned the act and promised justice.
