ALBAWABA - A video circulated online showing people breaking foodstuffs in the middle of a street. Many claimed that the video showcased people in Gaza breaking humanitarian aid.
Many pro-Israeli accounts on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter), including Edy Cohen, claimed that Gaza people are refusing humanitarian aid sent to them to protest amid continuous attacks.
Meanwhile, some other people claimed that Gazans were breaking the pro-Israeli products sent to them among humanitarian aid trucks.
In the alleged clip, people were seen happily breaking foodstuffs in one of the streets, meanwhile, some in the video were opening drinks and throwing liquid on the ground.
However, fact-checking platform Eekad posted that after investigating the video shared by many accounts on social it turned out to contain misleading information.
Eekad wrote after the probe: "Research revealed that the clip was published on October 28 and was circulated by Turkish accounts as part of a boycott of products that support the occupation."
Eekad also reaffirmed: "We noticed in the clip that there is a large sign with the words "Greater Adana Municipality."
